(01) About Room

A lesson where every note is heard

Ordinary meeting apps are made for conversations: they compress the sound, cut high notes and mute the voice when music plays. That doesn’t work for a singing lesson.

I SING Room brings together everything a teacher does in a live lesson: a backing track the student hears with no delay, a piano, sheet music you can draw on, warm-ups with accompaniment, and voice analysis that shows intonation note by note. The student just opens a link — and you’re already working.

(02) Why not Zoom

An ordinary call or a room made for lessons

Zoom, Skype and Meet are great for conversations. But in a music lesson, sound is everything.

Zoom, Skype, MeetI SING Room
Voice Noise suppression and echo cancellation cut high notes and quiet singing. Everyone has to find and turn on “Original sound” themselves. Sound tuned for singing. With headphones the voice comes through clean, and the teacher adjusts the student’s sound — no “click over there” requests.
Backing track Via screen sharing: the student hears the music with the internet delay, and the voice falls off the beat. Plays on the student’s side with no delay — the teacher hears the voice right on the music. Tempo, key, loop a section.
During the lesson Piano, sheet music, warm-ups and tuner are separate apps and tabs the student can’t see. An 88-key piano, sheet music with drawing, warm-ups and voice analysis — in one window, for both of you at once.
Student An app, updates, sound and video settings. Open the link in a browser — and sing. No sign-up, no payment.
After the lesson Backing tracks and sheet music in messengers, recordings on different drives. Files, recordings and students’ homework playlists — in your dashboard, with stats for every lesson.

(05) Questions

Frequently asked questions

01How is I SING Room different from Zoom or Skype?

Zoom and Skype are made for conversations: they compress the sound, cut high notes and mute the voice when music plays, and a backing track shared via screen sharing reaches the student with a delay. In I SING Room the voice comes through without “phone-call” processing, the backing track plays on the student’s side in sync, and the piano, sheet music, warm-ups and voice analysis are in the same lesson window.

02Does the student need to install anything?

No. The student opens the teacher’s link in a browser — Chrome, Safari or Edge — enters their name and allows the camera and microphone. No sign-up or payment needed.

03Do I need a bank card for the free trial?

No. For the 15 days you only need an email and a password — nothing is charged.

04What happens after the trial?

Your dashboard doesn’t go anywhere: students, files, recordings and the room link stay. To keep working, write to us — we’ll find terms that fit your lessons.

05How do the modules differ?

“Vocal” — voice analysis, warm-ups with accompaniment, synced backing track. “Piano” — a mode with a big keyboard, MIDI, a staff and sheet music in the center of the screen. Video, sheet music with drawing, recording and the dashboard are in both.

06Does it work for lessons with children?

Yes. A child doesn’t need an account or apps — just a link. You turn the student’s microphone and camera on and off yourself, without explaining where to click. Recording a lesson with a child — only with the parents’ consent.

07What if the student’s internet is weak?

Room lowers the video quality by itself so the sound doesn’t break up, and a short network glitch doesn’t end the lesson. If the network blocks a direct connection, it goes through a relay server. Before the first lesson the student can open the “Tech check”.

08How many students can I teach?

As many as you like. A lesson in the room is one-on-one, and the link is the same for everyone: the student “knocks”, and you let them in when you’re ready.

09Can I take lessons from a phone?

Yes, the room is adapted to phones — both portrait and landscape. For piano lessons a computer or tablet is more convenient: the keyboard and sheet music are bigger there.

10Why headphones?

With headphones you can turn on “original sound” — without the echo cancellation and noise suppression that spoil singing. The voice comes through clean, like in a studio. With speakers, echo cancellation stays on so there’s no echo.

11Can I record a lesson?

Yes. The “Record” button saves the lesson to a video file — with both videos and sound, so the student can rewatch the lesson at home.

12Who sees my files and recordings?

Only you. Students see only what you show in the lesson, and the playlists you’ve shared via a link yourself.

13How do I check the camera and microphone before a lesson?

Open the “Tech check”: in a minute you’ll see whether the camera, microphone and sound work and whether the browser is suitable. Send this link to the student along with the lesson link.
